We take special care to assure your films get the best we have to offer ,… “AIR TRANSFER”.

“AIR TRANSFER” allows for the capture of you film direct from the emulsion surface of the film, thus eliminating the usual transfer screen such as rear screen projection or frosted surface transfer systems.  The benefits are very noticeable.  The results are improvements in the following particular areas that can be common problems with traditional transfer services and systems.

Film and video tape don’t last forever. Blu-Ray, DVD, Video CD & Hard Drive Digital Masters will insure years of protection for priceless movie archiving when storing discs correctly.  Instead of the usual “Calculated Price” of how many cents per foot the transfer would cost, We think that is a little confusing and we do things around here in a more understandable simple way.  You fill up a Master Quality 1 hour Archive Grade DVD for $98.  Depending what is on your reels, that means about 20 to 22 small movie reels per DVD.  You can also have some nice extras added to you Film transfers if desired.  The list below will help you decide how you can have your final Film Transfers Finished.

• For digital projects on hard drive, you supply your own hard drive or we will provide you with an archive quality hard drive capable of high speed video editing and rated highest quality for durability and archival safety.  You may also receive educational instruction on how to edit your own footage and how to set a computer up for successful editing & mastering.

The process is very simple:

• Step #1: Select the films or tapes and music you would like to have processed
• Step #2: Download the “PDF Track Sheet” and order form and insert the film reels or tapes you desire to be transfered and select any extra features you would like in your final DVD master.
• Step #3: Send your boxed film reels or Tapes and Printed “PDF Track Sheet” to Illusion Productions receiving location and your films will then be taken to our transfer lab where all the magic happens and will then be sent back to you once everything is completed.
• Call our center if you have any questions you need answered before getting a start on preserving your precious memories.

For Video tape transfers the process is just a little bit different.  Since we use a special European DVD CODEC Compression system, we are able to get a much higher quality transfer on to your DVD disc then most US based companies.  This means that you may be able to if desired, get more video footage with higher quality onto a DVD disc with less quality loss.

• A 1 Hour DVD Master Archive Disc will give the highest quality footage available for your transfers:

• A 2 Hour DVD Master Archive Disc will still give great results but allow for twice the footage:

• A 4 Hour DVD Master Archive Disc will still give good results but allow for 4 times the footage:

• A 6 Hour DVD Master Archive Disc will still give results better then a VHS copy but allow for 6 times the footage:

• An 8 Hour DVD Master Archive Disc will still give results very viewable but with a few artifacts yet allow for 8 times the footage:

We can do upwards of up to 20 hours on one DVD but at that time compression the results are not exactly what you would call good. DVD can only handle so much information before something has to give, especially when creating Video DVD quality Discs.
